Happy New Year 2008!

As usual, I'm a late in getting my updates to my Webmaster. What happened to 2007? It was gone in a flash! When I look back, I'm wondering what I did the whole year -- I'm happy to say I was very productive. I created a tryptic -- something I had never done before, and I'm extremely happy with the way it came out. It is called The Fate of Little Red Riding Hood, and all three pieces can be seen in the Serious Gallery section of my website. Each painting took approximately 6 months to complete, and it was such a phenomenal feeling to see it finished and framed when it was unveiled at McMullan's Irish Pub last December. And what a wonderful event! Friends, artists, musicians, family, surrounded me, and everyone had a lovely time! I was very honored to have my brother, Randy, perform during the last hour of my event. I can say with confidence that this event was truly my best art showing ever. Thanks to everyone who came and to all my friends who helped!

I have several projects going right now -- one is a new little character I created called The Fleye, and it's basically an eye with wings, feelers and little legs. It's just something I did between paintings that came out quite astonishing. I'm not sure how to market it yet, but I am creating shirts and wristwatches that are very popular. More news on this later…

My second project that I'm excited about is that I decided to do a series of paintings based on Irony. I'm working on the first one and I've got two more lined up. I'm thinking about doing another art unveiling later in the year to share my new masterpieces! Be sure to check back for updates --

The Vegas Artists Guild is still going strong after 11 years. I'm proud to say I'm still a member of the Board (sharing Membership with my good friend Theresa Lucero), and there are so many talented members. Check us out at: www.VegasArtistsGuild.com.

I also started another website with my friend William Schnell and it is called This Is Possible (www.thisispossible.info). It is designed for people with physical disabilities and we are trying to create a community for sharing ideas that may make someone's life a little easier.

Thanks for visiting and checking out my art -- I'm sure we will be seeing each other very soon!
