Artist's Notes: MOUNTAIN LION was actually a work in progress over a 5 year span. I began it in 2000 and completed the top section only because I used it when painting in public. Since I work so slow I figured people could follow better if a certain amount was completed. Just a few weeks ago I decided to finish it since I hadn’t worked in public for awhile. If you look closely, the top looks different than the bottom because my style changed in the past 5 years! The original intent was to fuse the lion into the rugged mountain background.
